Medical Sector

Mobile telephones constitute a security risk for the medical sector. They can disrupt equipment functions or distort measurement readings. According to medical product legislation, the medical facility is held responsible for these occurrences. Stipulations within the ISO 9001 guidelines also require that this be documented.

Aviation Sector

According to the IATA (International Air Association), mobile telephones are classified as hazardous goods.
They can disrupt instrument functions or trigger false alarms, thereby endangering safety in aeroplanes. The IATA therefore recommends that the operation of mobile telephones on board an aeroplane be prohibited.
